The Dregs Teaser

Introducing my new band: The Dregs. I’ve never enjoyed playing and writing music as much as I have with my best bud Ryan Dunn. So we decided to just cut the crap and just get serious as a two-piece. Best decision I think I ever made.

Our first two songs, Shadowbabe and Everyone Knows will be released next Wednesday! Get back here for details on Wednesday April 9th!

I’ve been thinking a lot about my time spent living in Nashville lately. Well, I’ve been thinking about it since I left. Despite how much I loved it and how much I felt like it was where I belong, I’ve realized I’m still an outsider, and I always will be. An east coast Canadian, possibly the one of the biggest outsiders possible. I felt like I was a Nashvillian while I was living there, but was I really just a long term tourist?

Having all this on my mind sparked this paper doll project. They’re all  linocut prints, the figure being about 12” tall.

I’m really proud of these prints. I love when my art is interactive and engaging.  They perfectly encapsulate my attitude towards “fine” art lately. The conceptual content is there if you want to talk about it, but if you want to just dick around and laugh at it and play with it, that’s just as good!
